ABOUT SHEER
With Sheer, creators can quickly build media kits that show their style, content, and who they reach, including the latest results and audience demographics. Instead of manually building decks and pulling screenshots from multiple platforms, they generate reports in a few clicks and use that time for content and partnerships.
By automating reporting and structuring campaign data, Sheer makes it easier for creators to run and explain their campaigns, manage collaborations, and prove their value to brands. This reduces back‑and‑forth with partners and makes performance conversations more data‑driven and transparent.
MY ROLE
As a UX designer at Sheer, the focus was on making the Campaign report and overview experience simple and useful for creators. This meant designing the key screens and flows using the data that could be scraped from major social and content platforms at the time.
The goal was to give creators a clear, at‑a‑glance view of how they performed in each campaign, and what exactly they contributed. By surfacing the right metrics and insights, the interface helps them understand what worked, what did not, and how to talk about results with partners in a confident, professional way.
STYLE GUIDE
The existing dashboard used two different typefaces (Montserrat for headings and Open Sans for body), plus colours that did not meet basic contrast and accessibility guidelines. This made the product feel inconsistent and harder to read, especially for dense, data‑heavy screens.
To fix this, the design was simplified around a single typeface, Open Sans, across the interface. At the same time, the colour palette was adjusted for stronger contrast and clearer hierarchy, creating a more cohesive, accessible, and calm environment for reading numbers and charts.
PLATFORM OVERVIEW
Once the available data was mapped, the next step was to organise it so creators would not feel overwhelmed. The information was split into three main sections: Campaign Overview, Collaborations, and Analytics.
Campaign Overview gives a quick snapshot of how campaigns are performing overall, so creators can see if they are on track without diving into every detail.
Collaborations focuses on the people and brands they work with, making it easier to understand how each partnership is doing.
Analytics goes deeper into demographics, engagement, and impressions, giving detailed insights for those moments when creators or partners need a closer look.
This structure helps users move from big picture to detail in a natural way and find the right level of information for the conversation they are having.
CAMPAIGNS
The Campaign Overview acts as the main hub for campaign performance inside Sheer. It pulls together key metrics like reach, reach efficiency, engagement, engagement rate, and impressions so creators can quickly understand the impact of their work.
Creators can also see which collaborators or partners are performing best, which helps them recognise strong relationships and identify who to prioritise in future campaigns. Demographic insights are included as well, giving a clear picture of who they actually reached, not just how many people.
ANALYTICS
The Analytics section gives a fast, aggregated view of all collaborators involved in campaigns. It shows how each collaborator is performing overall and how well their specific tasks are working, such as posts, stories, or videos.
The data is broken into smaller, more focused blocks, and a filter bar lets users quickly narrow down to what they care about most. This makes it easier to spot which strategies are paying off and where changes might be needed, without getting lost in raw numbers.
COLLABORATIONS
The Collaborations section mirrors the available data but zooms in on each individual collaboration. Here, creators can see how well each collaborator matches the intended audience and how effective each partnership really is.
These insights help users decide who to continue working with, who to test in new ways, and where to adjust expectations or terms. This turns collaborations into a more measurable part of the business instead of relying purely on impressions or follower counts
CONCLUSION
Overall, the project laid the foundation for full, campaign‑level reporting across Sheer. Creators now have clearer tools to track individual campaigns and compare collaborator performance, all in one place.
By bringing these reporting tools together in a simple, organised interface, Sheer makes it easier for creators to understand their work, communicate results, and make better decisions about their content and partnerships.
